Impossibility of a Two State Solution

It should be obvious that a Two State solution is an impossibility. In one way or another, separate states withJews and Arabs living side by side in peace, has been proposed and rejected by the Arab people. From this we should learn that when one fails to learn from history, one is doomed to repeat the same mistakes at increasing cost.

It should be obvious that the Palestinians will not give up their drive to establish a Muslim State that includes Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, in effect, eliminating a free Jewish state of Israel. We can either recognize these FACTS and accept the impossibility of a Two State Solution, or we can continue making the same mistake and incur additional anguish and turmoil.

Jewish rights to the land, given the name Palestina by the Romans2,000 years ago, are irrefutable. Biblical and historical Jewish rights were established 3,500 years ago. Legal rights were established unanimously by the World Community after WWI at the San Remo conference of 1920. The areawas legally established as the homeland of the Jewish people. In 1922 the 51 member countries of theLeague of Nations unanimously endorsed these rights and charged the British with their implementation. Britain established the state of Transjordan on 77% of the total land of Palestine east of the Jordan River as a reward for Arab assistance to the British during WW 1. The area in which a future Jewish State would be established was reduced to 23% of the original designated homeland. The Hashemite Emir from Mecca, was placed on the throne as Jordan’s first king. Transjordan became the modern State of Jordan in 1946. In effect, this was the first attempt at a Two State Solution....

No More Disengaging

"Attempts to ... evict ... encountered the determination — and sweetness — of Yeshayahu Lichtenstein and Yehezkel Birzon ... 'I won't let them evict me,' said Lichtenstein ... 'This is a historic place.'"

These immortal words were quoted in a column printed in Haaretz. Readers of the newspaper had not seen such Zionistic phrasing in decades, and on the eve of the High Court's decision on the eviction of Migron's residents, who claim to have purchased their homes in full.

How did such a provocative piece make it into a newspaper that vilifies the education minister for being too Jewish and promoting an excessively nationalist agenda? Well, in actuality the article on the steadfast settlement refers to nothing other than Tel Aviv's Montana ice cream shop, whose owners managed to evade eviction. As for the real settlers, who hold on to

the land of our fathers in Migron and thus ensure Israel's safety — they won't be getting their own ridiculous apotheosis as these ice cream vendors got any time soon. Rather, the settlers will receive their legal helping of condemnation....

UN Blames Israel for Gaza’s ‘Inviable’ Future

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) held a conference on August 27th entitled “Will the Gaza Strip be Viable in 2020?” The conclusion, predictably, was that the Israeli government was fully responsible for the difficult human living conditions in the Gaza Strip and that the Gaza population will face a real disaster on all levels by 2020 if the Israeli “siege” were not immediately ended.

In attendance at the Israel-bashing conference were the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator, Maxwell Gaylard, Director of UNRWA operations in Gaza, Robert Turner, and UNICEF Special Representative in the Palestinian Territory, Jean Gough.

Gaylard said that the Gaza population is expected to expand by a half million, reaching 2.1 million in 2020, while access to water and electricity, education and health resources will get worse over the same period, unless major remedial action is taken immediately.

“Despite their best efforts the Palestinians in Gaza still need help,” Gaylard said. “They are under blockade. They are under occupation and they need our help both politically and practically on the ground.”...

(CNSNews.com) – A “two-state solution” has become the focal point of international efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, but Iran is leading a counter campaign, galvanizing support from lawmakers around the world for the view that “all of Palestine” belongs to the “Palestinians.”

Iran hosted a conference at the weekend bringing together senior parliamentarians from several dozen countries in support of the event’s motto, “Palestine – a land only for Palestinians.”

The two-day event ended with delegates issuing a statement calling on all Islamic governments and others to work towards the establishment of a Palestinian state “on all the Palestinian territory, with the holy Qods [Jerusalem] as its capital.”...

RNC 2012: Condoleezza Rice delivers speech to Republican National Convention in Tampa

Good evening. Distinguished delegates, fellow Republicans, fellow Americans.

We gather here at a time of significance and challenge. This young century has been a difficult one. I will never forget the bright September day, standing at my desk in the White House, when my young assistant said that a plane had hit the World Trade Center — and then a second one — and a third, the Pentagon. And then the news of a fourth, driven into the ground by brave citizens that died so that many others would live. From that day on our sense of vulnerability and our understanding of security would be altered forever.

Then in 2008 the global financial and economic crisis stunned us and still reverberates as unemployment, economic uncertainty and failed policies cast a pall over the American recovery so desperately needed at home and abroad.

And we have seen once again that the desire for freedom is universal — as men and women in the Middle East demand it. Yet, the promise of the Arab Spring is engulfed in uncertainty; internal strife and hostile neighbors are challenging the fragile democracy in Iraq; dictators in Iran and Syria butcher their own people and threaten the security of the region; China and Russia prevent a response; and all wonder, “Where does America stand?”...
